I am a graphic designer and woodworker, but my lifelong passion has always been music. I play guitar, write music, record and produce as much as possible. My sisters played guitar and sang when I was growing up and that inspired me to start taking lessons when I was ten years old. They raised me on a steady diet of Elton John, Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, Peter Frampton, Neil Young, ELO and Led Zeppelin.
When I was in high school I saw the Pat Metheny Group and it blew my socks off. They were touring just before the release of their seminal “Offramp” album. I had no idea that music could sound like this. It opened the world to me, and while I continued to play in Rock bands for many years, I studied Jazz and collected a library of Jazz music and guitar instruction books.
I’ve had great teachers along the way including the Berklee School of Music Online. It’s now many years later and I continue to be interested and inspired by beautiful music, art, nature and good people. My latest musical offering is a 5 song album of original instrumental songs called simply “Guitar Music”.
