Chris Bucheit Guitarist & Composer I've been a musician for most of my life. I've written and produced five CDs in total and have been a semifinalist in several writing and performing competitions. I've also composed music for broadcast advertising and placed several tunes in movies. I would love to do more of this work in the future.

 

Music is such a huge part of my life that it's one way in which I communicate with people. I'm sure that this why I write music to begin with. I also view it as a form of research and discovery – to see what happens when I act creatively and then respond to that. That process is what I'm in love with. The Jazz idiom just happens to be the most effective and direct way for me to do that. I've loved most genres of music my entire life, but Jazz has the biggest vocabulary and the most interesting "literature".

 

The New Jazz Infidels is a new group that I've formed with Chip Schreader, Josh Shively and Andrew Steeno in 2009. We play mostly my compositions. We're available for corporate and public performances. For more information please visit www.newjazzinfidels.com
